BSC Engineer
Job description/responsibilities
The individual will be responsible for planning, implementation, maintenance, and support of GSM wireless networks. The candidate must have the relevant telecommunications knowledge and experience with Nokia Siemens Networks wireless networks as a BSC Engineer. Some of the primary duties include:
- Troubleshooting network, hardware, and software related problems associated with GSM networks
- Routine maintenance and software upgrades for Nokia Siemens Networks BSC and RNC
- Commissioning and Integration of BSC, RNC, and BTSes
- Radio Network optimization
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience with Nokia Siemens Networks radio network: BSC, RNC, BTS
- Experience with Commissioning/Integration of Nokia’s 2G and 3G networks
- Ability to work independently and with team on work requirements
- Good customer service and communications skills
- Flexibility to travel

Requirements
- Minimum Masters degree in Engineering + 3 yrs experience OR Bachelor’s degree + 5 yrs of post Bachelor progressive experience in Nokia Networks Switching
- Broad telecommunications knowledge and experience
- Experience installing, commissioning, integrating, and maintaining Nokia Networks 2G/3G GSM voice network elements: MSS, MSC, HLR/VLR, MGW.
- Good customer service and communications skills
