Hosted Mobile Services
Pario Solutions’ Hosted Mobile Services gives cellular operators the opportunity to implement 2G GSM and 3G UMTS services while providing a migration path toward future services and technologies. Located in Dallas, Texas, Pario’s scalable, cost-effective hosted solutions include Softswitch services, GPRS, EDGE, HSxPA, I-HSPA, OSS, SMS, MMS, Prepaid Voice & Data, Mobile News & Entertainment, 24X7 Network Monitoring & Support, and Managed Services.
Why Hosted
With Pario, wireless operators save CAPEX and OPEX on their core networks and can mitigate costs for new equipment and software upgrades. Monetary resources can be used to expand radio networks, giving rural operators the ability to increase their coverage areas and gain a competitive advantage over national carriers. Additionally, Pario’s hosted services enable operators to quickly launch quality voice & high speed data services that increase ARPU and reduce churn. Tier II, III, and IV level operators can choose Pario’s hosted mobile services when they deploy a 2G/3G/LTE build-out or overlay an existing network.
Why Pario
Pario goes beyond “switch sharing”. We make your wireless network our first priority. Our hosted business model was designed solely to serve carriers in secondary and tertiary markets – and we’ve built and entire team of engineers with expertise in switching, the radio access network, network subsystem, and network management system for rural carriers.
Additionally, Pario offers Value Added Services that help retain existing subscribers, attract new customers, and increase ARPU.
- Service providers that currently offer GSM services can choose hosted SMS, MMS, and Prepaid Voice & Data solutions.
- Pario offers hosted Mobile News & Entertainment solutions for both GSM & CDMA technologies - these solutions are customized/developed to deliver services that are targeted to specific age groups, businesses, etc. within a carrier’s market.
- Operators that strategically plan to offer LTE services by delivering new high speed data services can cost effectively launch new products without the capital investment required to build, maintain, and upgrade a core network.
Technical Capabilities
Pario’s R4 Softswitch is Intrado tested & certified and meets FCC compliance requirements for E911, LNP, and CALEA. Additionally, the company’s MSC Server and HLR enable operators to meet 2G & 3G roaming agreement requirements with national and regional carriers. See Intrado Certificate »
Network Topology - 2G
Operators eliminate capital expenditures for an MSC Server, HLR, GGSN, SGSN, etc. and purchase the elements required for their cellular market areas — a Media Gateway, Base Station Controller (BSC), and GSM Base Transceiver Stations (BTSs). The BTSs are installed alongside legacy equipment or at new locations based on the site plan. The BTSs are linked to a centrally located BSC which is linked to an adjacent Media Gateway within the operator’s network. An IP based VPN connection links the operator’s BSC & Media Gateway to Pario’s MSC Server and SGSN, minimizing costly back-hauling expenses.
Network Topology - 3G
Operators purchase an in-market Media Gateway, Radio Network Controller (RNC), and Node Bs. The Node Bs are installed alongside legacy equipment or at new locations based on the site plan. The RNC is centrally located within the operator’s network and linked to the operator’s adjacent Media Gateway as well as the SGSN in Pario’s hosted facility via an ATM/MPLS link. A VPN/IP connection is established between the Media Gateway and MSC Server in Pario’s hosted facility.
Voice Call Flow — 2G/3G
When voice calls are initiated, the BTSs or Node Bs link the calls to the BSC or RNC which is linked to the Media Gateway. Call control and signaling functions are passed by the Media Gateway to the MSC Server and HLR. The Media Gateway handles the voice calls, keeping them within the operator’s network, avoiding costly back-hauling expenses.
Packet Data Flow — 2G/3G
When data calls are initiated, the BTSs or Node Bs link the calls to the BSC or RNC which is linked to the SGSN in Pario’s hosted facility. The 2G links are IP based VPN connections; 3G links are ATM/MPLS connections.
